BAL DES CHATTES SAUVAGES
Histoires de femmes qui aiment les femmes, hier et aujourd'hui : leurs liaisons et leurs réseaux internationaux, leur quête d'identité, leurs lieux de rencontre.
En Suisse, cinq femmes de diverses générations donnent un aperçu de leur vie.
Les aspects personnels et historiques, les anecdotes et les documents d'époque constituent un collage faisant la lumière sur l'esprit du temps, tout en fournissant une illustration du fait d'être différent.
La cosmopolite Johanna Berends, la chroniqueuse et photographe Liva Tresch, la célèbre créatrice de mode Ursula Rodel et la militante féministe Heidi Oberli nous ramènent aux années souvent tumultueuses de leur jeunesse.
Elles font partie de différentes générations et mettent en évidence ce qu'il y a de spécifique à chaque époque, en comparaison avec le temps présent où Samira Zingaro peut étudier sans problème et se mouvoir ouvertement dans le milieu des lesbiennes.
Le Bal des Chattes Sauvages a remporté le Teddy Award du meilleur film documentaire au Festival International de Berlin 2005.

WOMEN WHO LOVED WOMEN
... existed long before the rest of society began to take an interest. During the 1940s and 1950s they made their mark on Switzerland's urban bohemian society where there was a flourishing homosexual subculture. During the 1970s and 1980s, lesbians joined forces with politically active heterosexual women to carve out a feminist counter-culture, without which, contemporary Swiss society would be very different. This film embarks upon a cultural and historical journey through time providing an upbeat insight into the past century from the perspective of a minority long hidden from view.
